How can I help?
We are always looking for people to help shape, design, and mature our processes and policies and roles going forward. Below are a couple of roles we think are currently needed to keep our growing consortium to be a vibrant community. If you are interested in taking on one of these roles or don’t feel the roles below fit your expertise but you want to contribute in another way, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Special Topics Steward (Multiple Roles)
Hours per Week: at least 1
Maintains overview of an area of interest within the CMMC and keeps the community informed about recent developments
Convenes conversations and presentations within the CMMC among members with related topical interests
Social Media Steward
Hours per Week: 1 - 2
Act as administrator for the CMMC social media accounts
Develop a social media strategy for the consortium
Regularly post relevant content on platforms, including re-posts from non-CMMC channels, and original content created by members
Field any messages and inquiries through social media to the correct channels/people in the CMMC
Community Steward
Hours per Week: 1 - 2
Develop an automated system for handling flow of member/join requests
Develop and maintain materials for onboarding new members
Welcome potential new members who inquire about the CMMC, sending them appropriate materials and helping them integrate into the community
Support member requests as they arise, pointing them towards the right people and resources
Maintain e-mail list
Regularly engage in Slack and social media channels to facilitate connection
Consortium Cartographer
Hours per Week: 2 - 3
Support the build-out of the CMMC community map at Kumu.io
Develop processes for maintaining the map as new members, projects, and resources are added
Hours per Week: avg. 1 hour per week
Update the website as needed
Develop a web strategy for the CMMC
Support other roles in developing forms and automated systems to manage information
